The origin of The Ring, much like many Hollywood thrillers, is rooted in an urban legend. However, this time the legend revolves around a mysterious video tape filled with nightmarish images. Those who watch the tape receive a chilling phone call, warning them that they will die within seven days. Initially skeptical, journalist Rachel Keller begins to doubt her disbelief when four young people who watched the tape die under mysterious circumstances one after another. Driven by her passion for investigative journalism, Rachel obtains the tape and watches it herself, putting her own life at risk. Moreover, her son's life is also in danger.
