Cole appears to be an ordinary, likable man, but his life has taken a dark turn ever since he witnessed a horrific murder-suicide. His wife has left him, he’s plagued by disturbing hallucinations, and his once-promising career has spiraled down to a blue-collar job cleaning carpets. Just when it seems like he’s hit rock bottom, Cole is summoned for an overnight cleaning assignment at a grand Italian-style mansion far from the city. His only companion is Henry, the wealthy and condescending homeowner, who seems to derive a cruel satisfaction from making Cole believe he may have just killed his wife. A mysterious reddish stain on the carpet, the sound of a knife cutting into baked rabbit, and an incessantly ringing cell phone all raise unsettling questions: Is this a real murder, or is Cole losing his grip on reality?
